Rabat – American mystery-thriller series “Outer Banks” has chosen Morocco as its filming location for the remaining scenes of its fourth season, which is set to premiere in 2024.

Widely spread videos on social media showed behind-the-scenes footage of the filming of the Netflix show in the Moroccan coastal city of Essaouira, which has become home to major Hollywood films and International TV series productions.

The videos showed Outer Banks’ cast, including actors Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Madison Bailey, and Drew Starkey, near the filming location.

Outer Banks, which premiered on Netflix in April 2020, is set in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It follows a group of teenagers, known as the “Pogues,” as they search for answers surrounding a long-lost treasure linked to the disappearance of the father of one of the main characters.

The story revolves around John B. Routledge, played by American actor Chase Stokes, a teenager who is determined to find out what happened to his missing father and uncover the mystery of a legendary treasure.

He is joined by his friends who start a dangerous adventure filled with romance, betrayal, and unexpected twists. Throughout the series, they face various obstacles, including clashes with rival groups, run-ins with law enforcement, and personal challenges within their own group dynamics.
